Epilogue

Like every young boy who ever dawned the Indian Peninsula, there was a need to satisfy, what I would like to call " The Great Indian Dream ". It signifies the 'Duty' of every child who ever scored past the magic 80% and ended up getting his name called out to receive his report card before the whole classroom did. He is indebted, if not personally motivated and has blatantly thrown himself into the fire, the fire that is Engineering.

I, however, am not one of those people. Ever since I was this small, fat little kid, I was intrigued with the world. It fascinated me. I used to ask questions galore, whether it be why I poop? Or, why it was yellow in color? The arduous task of appeasing my questionnaire donned upon my Nani(Well, my parents both worked, so she was the best nanny available, plus she made the world's best 'bhindi ki sabji', hands down, no competition).

I was her first grandchild, so I got all the affection possible. And, her knowledge. I realized that, in an almost Fascist India, in the 20th century, you do what your parents are told. You don't question, answer back, don't give them a rough time, start working after you finished your schooling(and in some cases even without). Basically, you follow the leader. You are that stallion who wanted to win at the Equestrian, but decided to give it a miss, and help your family at the stables, get your alfalfa, give your milk and rot away your existence, just so that your next generation does not suffer from your mistakes.

TO hell and beyond with that, I say. Grow a pair(or a dozen), pull up your socks and dream beyond the tunnel of graduating from your father's untouched lands and marrying your mother's ideal "Bahu". The days of Hitler's reign and America's domination are over. I chose Engineering(as funny as that sounds), and you choose your domain. Do not be a pawn to your parents whims. Or anyone's whims.

I was born at a time, when luxuries were still seeds being sown, and getting my weekly Tazo(You got one with Lay's) was the dream. So, I say live now, or forever pay the price.
